I would opt for generic names. Let's say a surfer joined gwwbears.com and hated it, thought it was the worst $24.95 he spent in his life. Later, he stumbles across gwwfetish.com and thinks, "I ain't doing that again."

Of course, it works in reverse to where a surfer who really likes a site may join another produced by the same webmaster or program. But aren't most people leaving programs because they're dissatisfied in some way: either the content wasn't being updated often enough, the inside didn't match the outside sales pitch, or they found something better. A surfer who loves your site isn't cancelling your membership unless you raise your prices or he loses his job.

So, I think marketing your sites with separate names with either give you the opporunity to get a customer back in and maybe turn them into a satisfied customer, or get them back in and simply get another $24.95 from them.

The sites that sell the best for me are the individual, stand-alone products. I don't sell big conglomerate-type programs with a dozen niche sites very well.
