When I was 13 or 14 years old, I went to Waldens Bookstore and purchased a copy of one of the new magazines dedicated to the brand new gadget - VCRs! This was like 1982. In the back pages, the magazine had numerous ads for mail order porn -- and under each ad you could circle a comment card for get info from those companies.

Weeks after sending in my comment cards, I began receiving at my family's house enormous amounts of envelopes with "Sexually Explicit Material Inside" --- all addressed to my name.

I got all the colorful catalogs and brochures for the hot contemporary movies, like Taboo or John Leslie movies, Seka, etc. Some of the material had little black holes over the penetration shots, but others did not. And those companies subsequently sold my name to others, multiplying my mail. I loved it. My friends were impressed.

And my parents never found out, because I was a latch-key kid and always got the mail every day after walking home from school.

Anyway - the lesson is - if a 14 year old really wants to get it, I'm sure they can figure out a way.

(In school, my friends also signed up for Columbia House just for paying that penny. I remember that I got out of it by writing on the packages in large black marker "recipient deceased")
