Im definately not going to tell you upsells are not good for members for obvious reasons. But my objective opinion would be that adding free interaction to your members will definately keep them recurring, the pictures and the videos are one thing but if they can actually speak with someone and 'make friends' in your paysite thats definately not to be neglected. I think live chats should be used simply as content. It does have a bonus if your members spend but the main goal is to offer them as much as possible for what they are paying for. Keep in mind that they wont have to pay for the preview, so who will complain ? well thats the case for our feeds at least.

We are also coming up with a product that will be for paysites only, basically keep the video full size whenever the models are in a private show, this will give paysites even more additional content without focusing as much on the upsell.
