Thread: Are Sex Parties Legal?

As far as your website, again, you really need to contact a lawyer in your area and ask them. Just because some on a board says they don't think you can get into trouble does mean you can't.

For years people put statements on their websites stating that they are using pictures that they believe to be in the public domain and if they were breaking copyright to advise them and they would remove them immediately. Those stipulations don't absolve them of copyright infringement. And many of those same people found themselves reading a letter from Titan's lawyers.

What I'm saying is that you can't rely on the collective wisdom of this board, nor should you, as to what is legal and appropriate to do. Whatever dzinerbear has to say on an issue isn't going to help you very much if you're standing in a court of law trying to explain it to a judge.

There are one of those here in Orlando. Well, TECHNICALLY they're not, buuuuut => A giant gay club with several indoor bar complexes, a dance floor, a theatre with drag shows, a large outdoor party area with a pool and outdoor drink stands, a private beach sitting on a lake, several large fields, frequent foam parties, all fenced off with a 2 story "motel" surrounding it.

Call it what you want. They call it an "Entertainment Complex".

Those that go to GayDays probably know exactly where I'm talking about:

There used to be one out in Northridge, a gay couple was renting it (everyone thought they owned it). You could go over there, swim in their pool, shoot pool, and have sex. They had a few rooms that were themed decorated.

But after about 5 years of this, their neighbors found out and called the owner. The owner kicked them out.

regarding what you put on your website - while it's true that SO FAR, no one is bothering with sites that promote "escorts", they can under

    1. pimping and pandering
    2. living off the earnings of a prostitute (separate charge)
    3. conspiracy to commit prostitution

if the sex parties can be shown to be any of those things, your website would be breaking the law. and our current administrations are more likely to try and use something like that to get rid of adult sites, so be very very careful and talk to a lawyer with experience in this area before doing anything.

We do have guys post about private parties all the time. We only ask that no mention of money be included in the ad since our website is supported by ad revenue and those who get to ask for money via CFS have paid us for the exposure.

We also host sex parties, usually filming them for later release in a video such as our recent video, "Average Joe Orgy," filmed in Key West, Atlanta and Dallas.

To my knowledge there is no state in the USA that specifically prohibits sex parties, but all sorts of laws could be used to close you down. For example, engaging in a business in a residential area might be an issue. By hosting in a hotel you face another possible issue: management can legally stop you since they've rented the room to a maximum number of occupants. Somewhere in the fine print is usually something about parties being prohibited and that you can't have more than X number of bodies in a room. We actually got busted once in Columbus, Ohio at a Doubletree over this very issue!

Generally, though, and as someone who has successfully hosted dozens of sex parties in cities all over for years, you can get away with this and have lots of fun. Heck, by being in the sex industry you are already taking calculated risks. That is no different when you host a sex party.

I am facilitating a pretty large event in May. I have read all the local statutes and worked closely with the facility owners to protect not just our company, but my attendees and guest talent. Some of the safeguards we have in place are pretty simple.

THe facility is in a industrial area of a large city, well established and has zero traffic from Friday at 5PM till way after our party is over. I have signed an exclusive rental, and secured it with a contract and deposit. We have our BEEFY men set up as front door security, and the doors are locked at 10PM, anyone not inside by then, best head to the I Hop to troll.

Our guests must all be 21+ and all picture IDs are checked and noted on their registration forms, before they are assigned badges. Waviers that cover and protect all 3 of the businesses involved will be signed by ALL crossing the threshold, including staff, crew and talent.

Of course this is not a "sex party", BDSMers are more about the sensation, and less about the penitration. I haven't decided what RULES of The House will be in effect for the days I have the dungeon exclusivly, other than the usual House SafeWord and normal practices of SSC. If the mood is right, I may relax, and call for Dark Party Rules.

Since I will not be allowing liquor (SSC again) many of the problems that can crop up at any adult gathering will be minimized. Hell rasing and hard drinking can be done at the hotel suites which were priced low, to encourage our slut Friends to freakin' GET a ROOM.

It's legal in New York City. There are at least 10 sex clubs that I know of. And they all advertise openly. I don't see why it would be outlawed. Sex Clubs here are not allowed to sell booze, but they are allowed to be BYOB. I really don't see how it could be outlawed.

LOL In TEXAS if you get pulled and you are carrying more than 6 sex toys, you can be arrested. No shit. It's all about the community standards.

The worst sex party I ever attended was one where this okay-looking guy who I had been with before cajoled me into showing for an event he was billing as a "wild sex party." It was on a Sunday afternoon.

When I arrived, he was in the backyard frying burgers on a grill. Ugh...

He had some young twink (rapidly aging though) fliting around with him.... maybe this guy was staying there now.

:notsure: There were some people standing around awkwardly. Some guys just ate quickly and left. What was left was ..... hrmmmm. I spent most of my time with Zaltru. (who was one of my end of the 20th-century regulars)

    That was a weird one.
