I'm in the same position as you. I've made some great contacts here as well, and others have benefited greatly from my patronage of GWW, not from my posts on GWW but from my contacts and help in the real world, after meeting on GWW.

The value of GWW lies within all of us here, not GWW in and of itself. A community is only as good as its members, wherever we decide to communicate in an "open" forum.

I'm semi neutral regarding the negative aspects of GWW at this point. I don't know if something is going on personally with the owners, or what the real situation is.
