Pricing (again?)
Greetings gurus and oracles !
For a solo-amateur-site like mine, is this pricing off ?
$5 for the three day trial
$10 / month for the regular membership
Does it even matter ?

There's also the theory that, if something is inexpensive,

IF you have video and pics, and enough of it, i'd say that $24.95 for a month would be not unual. i often promote sites that go as high as $29.95, but i think $24.95 is more common.
why would you give 30 days away for the price of 2 3-day trials?

basschick, xstr8guy, and myself were promoting another site, but losing out on the trial, when we showed the site owner the stats, he dumped the trial. I sell at least one membership for this guy every day and I'm currently not doing much to promote my stuff, so it's just the traffic coming in from search engines.
I would encourage you to dump the trial.

i like the concept! , i'd start memberships at $ 24.95 U.S.D , Anything less and as you said surfers will think there is something wrong with it! ( keep in mind that your media is "exclusive" unlike the massive archives others have that share the same media. )
i'd skip "trial-memberships" altogether since most surfers can pretty much "download" everything within 2 days for the bargain basement price of $ 4.95 U.S.D

Yes, it IS rather annoying to see the same person buying the trial
once every two months and then sucking the site dry in one go!
(three times he's done that. But only that one guy, thank god.)
But, what happens CCBill-wise, if I remove the trial-membership,
while there's still active trialytes - that's gotta be a word
if you pull the trial links off your page, nothing happens regarding active trial guys. they either recur or they don't. there's nothing more involved with dropping your trial.
if you have enough content for guys to recur, you have enough content for a reasonable price. if you don't have enough content at all, then the price won't matter too much. the guys will want to see updates and for their membership to keep them busy.
how often do you update?
i'm shocked that you have one gig. each movie we do with all the different clips and formats and 1 full length wmv takes about 500 mb of storage.
