We did some flyer distribution a few years ago for one of our private paysites and have to say, they did quite well for us.

You might also want to speak to some of the local bar/club owners in your area and see if they would be willing for you to place some flyers on notice boards etc, our local club allows us to put cards on their notice board which is right at the front door when people enter/leave the club
