Those are Alexa rankings. Alexa is a comapany that is owned by Amazon.com. Just from my knowledge of Amazon or eBay, Alexa is probably putting its website ranking data out there, and you can use one of their web services to make it dynamically appear on your website.
They probably have a "toolkit" or something to customize the appearance of the results on your site. Or there are probably little freeware programs written in PERL or SOAP that pulls this data down, and prints it onto the web page.
As an editorial comment - I think that Alexa is a dog. It's results are at best bizzare, and arguably meaningless. Alexa rankings are aggregate totals of web surfing culled from just the people who use the Alexa toolbar.
[Another good reason to refuse it - it's spyware)
And those folks who do use it are not at all a proper sample of websurfers.
Don't confuse this with the Google toolbar --- which is a very powerful tool. Live it. Learn it. Love it.
