I Love my Blog! I was given the assignment to learn about blogs, and handed this book:
    Blogger

I hate when I'm expected to learn something from a book, but I trust Roy when he thinks I am up to a challange and I give it my best. What a nice simple book it was, written in a way that made it so easy, I had my blog posted with pictures, links and syndacated in less than a day.

I'm sure those with more geek ablities would find the Blogger freeeware too restrictive, but it has also helped me to understand HTML better, and all those strings of code no longer look like the sheet music from Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue.

I hope if you read my blog, you will find it just not informative, but amusing too.

From The Mind of a Serious FemDom

Now if I could tell me how I got a stinking POP up on a blog, I'd be very grateful.

    I absolutely hate writing... that's why I don't have a blog.

I don't know *what* to talk about. I'm not the greatest of conversationalists as it is. I would end up rambling about anything that fell out of my head, most of which is pointless, some of which is probably scary.

The sheer randomness of, "That guy on Worlds Strongest Man is so hot, and my dog has fleas" is enough to turn anybody off.

I can make funny stories out of regular daily stuff, but it comes unnaturally and can be stressful to pull off. Like an artist trying to write a song without the words to express it. (makes mental note to find an excuse to tell the sister's wedding/cat-washing story)

I'll always respect bloggers that have so much to share that it just seems to flow off their fingertips.

Me... I'm meant to be obscene, not heard. :biker:

I tend to enjoy writing, but only when I have something to say.
If I have to make myself nothing good comes out

I have a buddy who's a journalist, and he can turn shit into soup - always so vivid and expressive.

And if it's a porn blog - do you say here's hot pics or what? Doing a description ala - hot guy gets naked bla bla bla - just doesn't read like a blog - it's not really conversational.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Hey Lee, Casey here. Do you think Blogger used without the adult content , both text and images, would help us all get more traffic via Google etc, as no adult blogs come up under various searches?

omg! I LOVE your avitar! :bush:

I know lots of ppl are making blogs that are more like TGPs for traffic generation. Personally I think you can take any style and use it to direct surfers. I've kept this blog PG to leave open my choices when it comes to sponser programs.

Yesterday I posted my blog URL to one of the Yahoo Groups I own. Since it is one of my BDSM groups, I had been waiting for a reason to send them to it, just because I didn't want to use my Friends as spam fodder. Yet.

So I posted my rant about unthinking pet owners and invited them to visit. This morning I woke up to 6 times the normal hits to the blog with a conversion on my amazon account! Of course the numbskull member who knew she was the subject, is less than happy, but since she's a class C Bitch she is most welcome to removed herself from my group whenever she pleases.

It's slow going, a blog. Yet I think well worth it in the long run. I get to write about the million lil things that annoy or delight me and enjoy the feedback from my readers.
