I'm not sure why you're having trouble giving up coffee, Americans can't brew the stuff. Why would you want to drink it? Your coffee is like your beer - weak! While the USA may dominate the world in other things, when it comes to coffee, beer, and hockey, they should just look north and ask the Canadians how to do it. If we want to know how to build a mall or a highway billboard, we'll ask.

I don't drink coke, coffee or tea (except herbal). I find the best way to get past it is not to think that you're quitting completely. Just every time you go to have a cup think "I just won't have this cup." I know it sounds stupid but many people have trouble quitting because quitting is forever. If you just continue not to have this cup - before you know it you'll have been off caffeine for months.

Excellent way to look at it, Allan. Thank you. I totally understand your situation. I had a friend who found out he had liver disease and his doctor told him to lose 40 lbs or he would die. Pretty good incentive to stick with a diet.

Oh no, darlin'. I'm used to making coffee the way Zha Zha Gabor made it on Green Acres, heh heh. If you don't remember that show, it would pour out of the pot like melted chocolate. LOL! Okay, mine is not that bad, but it's that strong. But then I put six teaspoons of sugar and a ton of cream in it.
