Actually, i know a few people who are based in Mexico and, from what i can tell, despite their, what seems to be, lack of laws, our friends go unbothered for the most part and, actually live like kings in some places

Mexico is a really cheap place to live.

Next year when Eric and I go to visit his parent in Malay. I was thinking of maybe renting a house or apartment in Thailand. Live there like 7 months out of the year, run my site, and maybe shoot some content here and there. Mexico sounds like fun to!

Yes, full of trendy shops and clubs...my boyfriend and I stayed there a year ago...had a great time...hooked up with a very hot Mexican cutie.

Well the way I see it is this..If I am l bringing money into their country and staying low key then it should be no problem from what others tell me that live there. I am going to a town with 1000's of expatriots and a very gay friendly/ artsy city. I leave Tuesday to look for a home. You cannot believe what you can get there for nothing. And right on the beach. At this point I feel safer there then here! :mexican:

It does provide many ideas and good info. My boyfriend and I went to Brazil for a year and loved it (we did over stay our tourist visa by 6 months and had to pay a fine) but we used ATMs to get money...paid credit card bills via online banking...had great dsl access...cable tv...it was GREAT!

We will probably go back for a few months this winter (summer there)!!
