I bought a membership and clicked through the pics - they seem young, but not tooooo young - I bet they are russian. oh, picsize is about 640x460
Well, their site never really says or gives you an idea how much content they do have in their member's area.
But yeah, i'd be pissed off.

Well, in 2002, Boyfunk started with something similar (no video), and members were satisfied... but of course, that was 4+ years ago :)
Indeed, lots of sites started off that way and i really do often wonder why we dont start re-educating the surfers/webmaster that standards need to be lowered back to the golden years in porn where a single free site (10-20 pics) could make the sites owner $5k+ in the space of a weekend.Quote:

Do you know why you haven't seen my Viaitalia.us site up and running yet? Probably not, it's not porn. But if you have, it's because I don't have all the content yet up on it. It isn't a pay site, but I believe you shouldn't advertise a gallery (content) section unless it is filled with an appropriate amount of content for the membership fee paid. So if your site isn't fully up yet, don't charge. Because if I paid for a membership and then a month later after it expires, a lot more content is added, I'd be pissed. You don't wanna see Pickles pissed. :snake:

Id love to know what webmasters consider to be an appropriate amount of content, because as far as surfers/members are concerned, there is never enough content inside a members area.... Because we have spoilt them so much giving them more and, more and, more and, more...
You could (and some companies do) offer surfers access to thousands upon thousands of downoadable DVD quality movies, in thousands of niches, they will still bitch that there 'isnt enough' for the $24.95 they have paid for access to those 1000's upon 1000's of movies... Which is considerably cheaper than actually going to an adult store and buying ONE DVD.
The fact is, we need to be offering surfers/members LESS inside paysites, on tgp galleries, free sites and AENs, so that we [webmasters] can actually have some sort of control over the porn industry, instead of it being driven buy the surfers demands.

Good point. I wonder though how old the content is on the site in question. I would give new content each month. But I wouldn't advertise the content until I had content backed up. Content on supply that is. So if I only had a certain amount to offer, I'd have a few months to find new content to offer.Quote:

That's so true.
I think that the fact that it was SO easy to make money doing this a few years back made a bunch of idiots who were just in it for beer money to make a fortune over night and then fuck it up for the rest of us who actually wanted to create good content and have this as our careers.
not that you can blame them. Many of us would just jump at the chance of fast money with little effort if we weren't thinking about hte long-term of our decisions and we didn't care to.
But it IS nice that all the "beer money" people seem to have moved on, isn't it?
and yet most of the rebills in the old days were because members didn't realize there was such a thing as rebills and chargebacks and refunds were lots higher.
i have a bunch of revshare sponsors where the average sale to me is over $50 per member. no real surprise here that it's because they offer lots of quality content and regular updates.
