I would have made them all rugged and dirty and muddy, with unkempt hair and just a general air of raggedy-ness to them.

I'm a stickler for detail. The moment a porn scenario becomes "inauthentic" to me, I lose my boner. I can't help it. I'm an intellectually driven person. I need attention to detail. :)

Of course, I know that not everybody out there is like me, so when I review movies, I usually take into consideration the suspension of disbelief of the "average Joe," and write from that POV.

I actually wanted to make htem muddy with unkempt hair, etc, but my hair and make-up guy is a fashionista... he wouldn't hear of it. So the guys got to stay pretty. I think I will address that in the sequel (and yes, there is a sequel).

He isn't a caveman. He is a scientist in the 1950's. Most of the movie is a flashback bookended with scenes from the 20th century.

In my opinion-- Yeah for the pretty vote winning out!!

Other than a few skeletons and some broken pots, we really don't know much about pre-historic man. Maybe all the skeletons and homesites found so far are from hetero ugly cavemen. For all we know, the gay ones were really hot, knew how to primp and preen, and had impeccable hair. Since they could not reproduce, the died out quickly. Until there is evidence to show otherwise, keep them pretty. :tongue:
