But he should be doing TGP's, right?

It depends on the time window. Blogs will pay off in the long run as it takes some months to built good amounts of SE traffic if done right. Freesites already get (indirect) SE traffic from the very first day because you're getting traffic from directories where you submit them to and they get a good share of their traffic from SE's.
So it all depends on your skills and goals. Doing some free sites is easier than doing some blogs (if done right in terms of SEO).
Sorry I'm not interested for just 200$. This will take longer than just about 2 hours and you would have to raise your budget a bit on that. If you want something like "setting up a project from A-Z" ecpect it to take at least 5 times the time and money.
quick off topic question... what script you using here
http://www.tube4gays.com ??
http://smart-scripts.com/?action=smarttext this one but it's pretty hard to handle.
I need more hard scripts like a hole in the head ...
Well actually newbies rarely make money with any type of site from day one but I believe that there are some (like the guy you mentioned) who did. But that's not the majority for sure.
Usually it takes some time and in my opinion it's easier to make a quicker buck with freesites or galleries than with a blog which usually targets SE traffic.
If I as anewbie would copy and study some freesite layouts, change the text and colors slightly and use some other pics of the same sponsor and then would submit them to the very same directories it would be possible to make some sales from a few k of traffic coming within a week or so. A new blog usually needs some more time to get listed in the SERP's allthough it will be able to get directory traffic as well.
That's just the way I experienced it :)
first off, in 1024 part of each blog title is cut off.
second, you have the "Hello world! Welcome to WordPress. " wordpress default blog in the middle of your page.
third, you have no breathing room above or below your text, and you don't have the title of the site linked within each post.
fourth, you're not using collages with a good amount of text under the collage - you're using pics. use 3 to 12 pics per collage, show some action. give the surfers a taste of what your sponsors have to offer.
fifth, you're not showing dick. why would a horny man want to come back to a site that doesn't show cock? and what would trigger him to click?
you have a non niche blog, but you're trading with 3 arab/turkish blogs and a bear blog. since you have no arabic/turkish or hairy men on your page, this traffic isn't going to love what you offer. jasun's a great guy, but his blog doesn't seem like it would send you useful traffic, either.
don't quote your sponsors - write 50 to 150 words of relevant text per blog, and be sure to use the keywords for each post.
Having read this very interesting thread for a couple of days now, I've decided to finally give my first blog a start. I'm still trying to figure out how to get started exactly, but there have been already some useful hints and tips, so I just need to sort them in my mind. I think I already own some good names for blogs which I could use (or at least one of it for a start), so the first step is done. :)
Well, you have a domain, and I assume hosting ... you just need to get your script installed and jump in. Depending on who you host with, they may even install the script for you if you're setting up Wordpress.
Get stuck - ask ... or check you tube and search for wordpress install videos, they are abundant.
Yes, I know there are flaws with that blog, I just reconstructed it after losing the old name, and the new theme put the old page experiments back into a highly visible spot. Those pages weren't intended to be seen, just old messing around from back in 2006.
I'm still in the process of fixing it back up. I haven't had time to figure out why this theme's css covers some of the titles, for instance. But I redid some pages - I rather like having prominent pages that deliver some fhgs and will add a few other niches in that pages bar across the top in the course of time.
Because it's a newly installed theme I haven't re-added the blocking metas to the header yet - something on my list of things to do. However, I don't plan on using rta. In theory, html contains all the official metas one needs for blocking software and browser setting, a third party isn't necessary.

When I started the blog there were no lists that were listing blogs, Bec. I'm still not entirely certain those are terribly useful links to have. Perhaps I'll add a few, but not many, to this older blog.
However, that certainly seems like a testable idea for a newbie demo blog trial.
I've asked a few times, about this newbie blog question, "where does the traffic come from?", execting someone to say something like "well at first it comes from lists, much like a free site, with some amount coming from the syndicators. Then you start to get long tail traffic from google.".
There are too many other points suggested to effectively respond to in a readable post, so I'll pause here for the moment.

So, all we have to do now is get some more new folks to join in a blogging experiment.
Speak up - who wants to start some blogs, and share what you learn?
Yeah, those trades are old, from shelmals old board, I have to review them. If they are still in existence I'll keep them tho. I don't drop trades once made.
I plan on leaving the hello world there, as an artifact. It reminds me the blog was lost and remade. I'm funny that way.
I need to review the css to figure out what is cutting off the titles. That reworking of the css will include better spacing and color of the text as well. I didn't create the theme, so that spacing isn't my idea.
It could well be the selling on this blog isn't effective. It was started as an experiment, and written more as a culture blog. And I don't really plan on changing that much. I plan on keping this much as it is, and running a few experiments on new blogs.
The not showing dick part was part of the themeing decisions I made about the blog back in the day - tho possibly it does affect sales. Interesting male bodies without dickage can pull interest too. I have another blog which was/is more explicit. This blog used to have a line of thumbnails and textlinks in the sidebar which were explicit (the thumbs) and intended to satisfy the desire for hardcore.
I do however rewrite the sponsor text and titles, generally.

All of those critiques are interesting and can certainly be applied to a newbie blog trial experiment.
Thanks, Bec. Yes, I have hosting as well. Went to your excellent site a couple of times last week and there is just so much to learn that it was hard to figure out what would be the next (or first step). Next week I have a few days set aside for working on the blog and I will start with Wordpress installation, find some templates and play around a bit. :)
