paco is a rare bird indeed. he's funny, nice, helpful and incredibly articulate. he brings out that little bit of playful sadism in many of us. not to mention some of his posts are so creative and interesting that i'm a little jealous sometimes.
he's also very low key.
this entire community is a little better place to be because paco is part of it :)
Paco's a great addition to the board and I love his sense of humour.
I'd cut off a pinky toe for a night in the sack, hell, I'd even share him with xstr8guy.

longboardjim, that usb turntable boasts that it has a setting where you can do just that and the software that comes with it will reduce the signal back to the proper one, but I would think it would cause a serious degredation in sound quality.
I paid a service to do a bunch of my records to mp3, they charged me $50, which I thought was a great price, and the sound quality was for shit. I was so upset. Luckily they gave me my money back but it was unreal how bad the sound was. And to top it off when I talked to the customer service guy he could tell what was wrong with it. He said the tracks sounded fine. He even did four different EQ jobs and sent me the raw file and they all sounded like someone had taped them with a hand held dictophone from across the room. It was awful.

sounds like they used a cable between the "headphone" jack and the computer line in (concert hall echo) sofar i am using a cable between the "tape out" from a stereo reciever to the "line in" of a computer , this works well with "club singles" but i have to use an amplifier for the atypical "album" which always seems to be recorded at a lower volume , the computer program i am using to "filter" (snap/crackle/pop) is "dartpro" though i'm sure there's better software out there. (it doesn't have to be better , it just has to work!) :)Quote:
