Hey everyone check out the preview page for my site! http://www.jeffcruise.com....
Let me know what you think, and if there are any things you think I should change! :luke:
looks really good, I like the mud pic it makes the site look like a lot of fun.
cheers,
Luke
I have to agree with Luke about the mud...but there's something about that uncut cock that makes me think your site will be a "big" hit!
Good luck!!
Lee
hey, pretty nice :)
looks like you're on your way.
love it! i would change "im a top" to being versatile personally but thats just me.
Nice looking site man. I'm looking forward to when it opens up.
Cheers

I suppose it depends on what image you're trying to project. The main photo of you doesn't show any emotion, and neither do some of the others, so I think I'd choose pics that conveyed whatever image you want people to have of you. You have a great smile, for example. You could use that to your advantage. Or you could look bored. Or scowl. Or flirt. Get the idea? It's just my own opinion, but I love pics that show emotion, both through the eyes as well as body language. The overall impression of the guy will make me want to join a solo model site, not just his dick.
Jeff and AJ and I want to thank everyone for their input!
What's posted now was cranked out to give the webmasters something to look at, to get a feel for where we're going with Jeff's site. Jeff and AJ and I have already discussed all of the thoughts and suggestions and will be incorporating pretty much everything into the actual tour when we start working on it later this month.
Steve, I particularly appreciate your detailed comments, and I think Jeff agrees with you as well (I'm sure he'll post, he's trying to get ahead on schoolwork so he can spend the weekend in Phoenix.) Eyes for me are a big window into who the person is, and we can totally portray Jeff's personality through his smiles and laughter and some of his crazy expressions that we've caught.
And as for the mud... I think we have video of that whole scene. It was completely unplanned, Matthew just started picking up the mud and Jeff was going "Don't you dare" and it sorta just happened... there are several other impromptu scenes we've shot, including a towel-snapping escapade, also totally unplanned, with Jeff and Matthew running all around the backyard attacking each other. Plus foot worship scenes, 2 ways, solos in all sorts of different places, shower scenes... we think this will not only be a lot of fun, but will work really well with members.
As always, please don't hold back on suggestions, criticism, comments. All of us working on the site want it to be successful, so don't be afraid to hurl some honest criticism so we can make the actual tour much stronger.
PS: Any of you who are reading this and coming to phoenix forum, make sure to come up and say hi if we haven't already seen you tonight. I know there are several regulars here that are coming who I have't met yet, and I'm really looking forward to that!
The site looks great. I love your eyes and smile, you look hot. I look forward to meeting you. :)

I like the personal nature of the preview page, not too slick and seems amateur and authentic, very good things! How much of and what type of personal stuff do you plan to keep in the preview area to hook viewers into joining?
i wouldn't change "i'm a top" at all. if a model IS a top, let him make the most of it :D
agreed! , best to stay "on-top" as long as you can , you can always get "versatile" later when the career starts dwindling into nothing.
in regards to the site i'm not fond of the "brown" maybe a blue? or some other color which screams ..."i'm young! , i'm hung! , get use to it!"...
the main picture of you could be better (i'm available up until nov 7th) other than that it looks okay (will wait to see the finished product) best of luck with the site!
sincerely ~ ..."i'm still at the top of my game!"... :fool:
I don't care of he smiles or not...I am a total slut for an uncut cock...
Perhaps too MUCH information. Any way, I would say versitale just to build the tenson and "surprise" when you finally find someone "worth being a bottom for"...PLEASE girls...all of the solo sites do it!
Lee
Looks cool..
Um, are you Jake's God son? :bunny: :scared:
that's an interesting way of looking at "versatile" , that way your customer who may be a top may feel he has a chance of seeing the model bottom even if the model is a total top.
my personal interpretation (at least in my area/arena) is that there is a lack of tops here so bottom's are advertising their tops hence "versatile"
i've never minded if a guy was a top like me (you can always split a bottom) some of the hottest sex i've had has been with tops (okay i like group) the problem is finding other tops that want to play together , alas this seems to be something more common in porn movies. :(
sincerely ~ ..."me tarzan! , you jane!"... :fool:
p.s ~ i do envy "versatile's" and their abbility to move in amongst "position-designated" sexual partners (interpreted: it does get tiring asking "are you a bottom?"...oops , was that too much information?)
That was actually my very first concern when the designer showed the pic to me. He darkened the background so much you can't tell the guys are in a lake.
We haven't decided whether to keep that pic in the tour, I'm a lil concerned it might scare people away... but maybe we'll use several from the series or something.
Jeff will probably eventually have a bottoming scene on the site but not for a while... we want to promote him as "straight acting" and then offer the members a surprise later. (He is actually vers.)
Off to today's round of networking and schmoozing.
Chip did you check your pm?
Hey thanks for the feedback everyone.... I'm having a blast at gay Phoenix.... but anyways what do you think of the middle picture on the preview (again its jeffcruise.com)... the big one of me in the middle.... I hate it and want to change it, even though I know its just the splash page...
looks good mate.. best of luck!!
I second that You are hot and talented! I think you will do well!
Hey Jeff;
I really am curious why you decided to go with "jeff Cruise" when it's so close to "Jake Cruise".
Jake's site is a rather popular one, and I'm sure that you'd heard of it. Both of his sites www.jakecruise.com and www.straightguysforgayeyes.com are big enough that everyone's heard of him.
It would be like opening a site called "Sam Cody" or "Corbin Foster".
Are you worried that it will confuse the consumer?
you know I honestly didn't KNOW about Jake Cruise, but I think that Chip must have when he helped me choose the domain name... so you would have to ask him. I DID ask Chip about it and he said he wasn't worried... my guess (and I really no nothing about gay porn marketing) would be that because the dynamic of the sites are so different (mine be a solo twink site), there won't be a level of competitiveness between the two...
Granted the sites are totally different.
Probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to check with Jake himself to make sure he was cool with it. He might be interested in marketing together like you're his naughty nephew.
Or he might sue you. With a good enough lawyer, he could conceivably win.
I know that if someone was to make a site called Frat-Men.com, we'd hit the roof and call our lawyer.
Of course, Jake is a lot nicer than us.
That being said... it's not even the business side of it all.. it's the consumer end I'd be worried about too. YOU may think that nobody is going to get you and jake confused... but trust me, the end users will.
huh... well I'm going to assume we're cool because Chip is a pretty smart guy and I am going to assume he knows what he's doing...
considering "Fratmen" isn't a dictionary word, It's possible that we DO, actually. But it's probably a bad example.
However, the point is kinda moot. Jake doesn't care and finds the whole thing kinda funny.
I still think it's an odd idea to almost copy the name of an established site for your own, even if your site is totally different.
Hey Jeff it was great meeting you. I hope you had a good time. I missed most of the show you did with Maverick but I think you guys are sending me a copy. I look forward to seeing you at the next show. :)

I take full responsibility for the closeness of jakecruise to jeffcruise.com. We were searching available domain names (there aren't tons of dotcoms for nice sounding solo model names) and I KNEW that jeffcruise sounded familar, but a bunch of searches didn't turn up anything... and somehow I totally spaced on Jake Cruise (no offense to him!)
Anyway, we'll get in touch with him and make sure he's cool with it.
As for the splash page... keep in mind this was something tossed together by the designer in about 2 hours (one pass) to have *something* to show to webmasters. It isn't intended to be public and will be totally replaced with a new tour... incorporating nearly all of the suggestions we've gotten. We will be asking for more comments as we get closer.
This is just a preview for webmasters, right? Just something for us to look at, right?
I'm concerned b/cuz if this is your homepage, you have explicit content right there at the start, and I don't think it's appropriate. Hope there's a warning page before kids can get to this so easily.
a warning page dosnt stop kids :)
Yeah, but that's not the point. Regardless of what kids do, it's imperative for the industry to do OUR part in taking the appropriate steps to deter kids from looking at adult material. Warning pages are essential, as are labels. I'm totally with Joan Irvine and the ASACP on this. Regardless of whether or not the kids are still able to access the sites, warning pages and labels show that WE care, and that we have done OUR part. Anything less, to me, is just irresponsible.
The warning page wasn't done before Gay Phoenix Forum and AJ just got the first draft of it. Yes, indeed, this is intended to be an industry-only preview page. The final tour will be completely different and will include a warning page.
