We are finding it harder and harder to recruit models for the past 3 months, it may be our resources, but it seems as if the economy is too good lately and people don't need jobs? Whatcha think?
Also if anyone knows a good resource to hire models, please spam me with them or if you know of any models that want to be on voyeur cam site and work from their own home and paid per month please let me know. Thank you!

We are seeing a lot more "startup" studios or, more often than not, creepy guys with camcorders *claiming* to be studios (but with no product and no website) spamming the hell out of guys on Myspace or wherever, so I think that the potential models are getting more wary, and some of the so-called "producers" are bundling expectations of, um, "extra services" into their offers, so they are quoting high numbers, then when the models show up, there's an expectation of "casting couch" sessions. At least that's the story I've heard from a few of our models who have worked with some of the newer, lesser known studios.
Our scouts have to do a lot more explaning and such to demonstrate that we're legitimate and have been around a while, but I don't find people are less interested per se. If anything, I think more twink-aged guys are OK with doing porn now than a few years ago.
So I think it really comes down to education of the model and perhaps casting a little wider net to accommodate for the guys that might otherwise have been interested but have been turned off by creeps.

perhaps the problem is that you're going through the model pool where you currently search for models. why not try some new sources?
Basschick what other sources do you suggest? We normally search for models by people we know or gay.com or yahoo and myspace.

craigslist, which rocks bigtime and does have an adult section under gigs
onemodelplace.com has plenty of models interested in doing adult
model agencies. there are plenty of 'em out there

I could not agree more. We have had good success in advertising in the local college newspapers. Not all of them (There are three colleges where I am) will take the ads, but two of them will. I usually get good responses...especially around spring break.Quote:

do any of the producers here recruit off manhunt? Ive also heard some of the gay porn studios finding guys off of bigmuscle.com and bigmusclebears.com, but maybe you arent looking for those kinds of models.

Thats weird we have so many models we can barely shoot all of them here. It was slower in a summer but maybe our state is a little different with models then yours. Alot of college guys leave for the summer and come back in the fall.
