We are seeing a lot more "startup" studios or, more often than not, creepy guys with camcorders *claiming* to be studios (but with no product and no website) spamming the hell out of guys on Myspace or wherever, so I think that the potential models are getting more wary, and some of the so-called "producers" are bundling expectations of, um, "extra services" into their offers, so they are quoting high numbers, then when the models show up, there's an expectation of "casting couch" sessions. At least that's the story I've heard from a few of our models who have worked with some of the newer, lesser known studios.

Our scouts have to do a lot more explaning and such to demonstrate that we're legitimate and have been around a while, but I don't find people are less interested per se. If anything, I think more twink-aged guys are OK with doing porn now than a few years ago.

So I think it really comes down to education of the model and perhaps casting a little wider net to accommodate for the guys that might otherwise have been interested but have been turned off by creeps.
