Let me develop more on our project.

Our site started about 4 years ago as a spanish porn site, and later we adapted it to multilinguality adding an english translation.

The title of the site, gaychallenges, comes from the site's theme: in our movies the boys compete for a challenge and they bet their asses. The looser will loose his ass, and the winner will take it as he wants. This theme allows for a lot of different challenges, softer and harder.

In our site you can also find the castings we do to our new candidates. The castings also follow this challenge idea. The newcommer must challenge another of our models and demonstrate his abilities.

We also offer live shows that are also recorded and then shown as another content in our site.

Finally we also offer downloadable photopack sets of all movies.

Here in Spain we have been working lately for TV channels, but we want to potentiate internet as a base of operations. That is the reason why we offer an affiliation program.

Our affiliate program is run by allopass. Allopass is a french payment gateway, part of Hi-Media group. It is widely used here in europe (remember we are a spanish producing company) because it supports two kinds of payment. It allows credit card payment, but it also allows international premium SMS. In europe premium SMS payment is widely extended as a payment method, and concretely in Spain it is the main payment method used. It seems the united states differ, and credit card is more used there. For this reason we are in the process of integrating CCBill as a payment method.

About the signing process for our affiliate program with allopass, when you sign for allopass you will receive an email with two data: an affiliate ID and a script. What we will need to set up the affiliation is your affiliate ID, we don't need the script. We will associate this affiliate ID to your gaychallenges account, and we will give you the affiliate link that you need to use. We do this because our site has an affiliate tracking module. In your gaychallenges or retosentrechicos user account you will be able to track how many referrals you have sent to the site, this cannot be done with allopass. Allopass is only a payment gateway and in your allopass account you will be able to track only how many sales you have done, but not track the number of users you have sent.

When you send us the allopass affiliate code, we will install it in your account and the website will generate the links automatically so that every sale done gives you a commission.

wow thats a crazy ass signup process!!! FYI, you will need copies of your passport, utility bill and bank statement to submit to them, then wait for their validations (that's where I am now, so not sure how long).

Let me clarify about the registration process. I had some other inquiries from other affiliates.

As I told, allopass is a french company. If you are aware of economy and political movements, france is one of the countries that promote a control over the international funds movements. And allopass is a french business. The french government asks allopass for information about where is the money being sent. It's not a problem of allopass, it's a problem of france legislation.

Then, in order to sign up into allopass, since last year you must identify yourself legally. You cannot earn the money until you have identified yourself. It's not that complicated, just sending a scan of your passport or ID card. But it is annoying, yes.

Allopass also can transfer your money directly to your bank account via wire transfer free of charge. For this they ask you to identify as the owner of the bank account. You don't need it if you accept being payed via cheque I think.

The validation process must be fast. It was in my case.

In any case, as I will be also adding ccbill, you always will have an alternative way for becomming affiliate.

Please be sure to let us know when the ccbill signup option is available. Many of us use a lot of ccbill sites as it lets us reach a 'minimum' payout a lot faster.

FYI, its been about 24 hours and none of my documents have been approved yet...I am not in a rush about this, just letting others know that its a lengthy process.

I am in the process of having my site approved by CCBILL. And later I will have to integrate it into my site. But it shouldn't take too long.

About the allopass registration process, it used to be much faster and easy. I hope you have it approved very soon, or noone will want to join allopass and I will have to drop it from my website. If it takes 24 or 48 hours it enters the acceptable limits. Otherwise allopass will turn useless for affiliation management. Let's see. It used to be much faster and easy.

Keep us posted on the CCbill progress please.

I have talked to the Allopass guys. The verification of the documents is only for payment matters, not for joining the program. While they are validating the documents, you are already in the affiliation program and you can start promoting it, and you will receive the commisions. The thing is that when you want these commisions to be sent to you, then you will need the documents validated.

Summarizing, while the documents are being validated, you can work on promoting the program and you will be getting your commissions.

About ccbill, they are now reviewing my site. As soon as this finishes I will start working with the engeneering team for integrating their tools into my site.

FYI, as of right now, I am still sitting at the "0% of profile validated" stage.

So are you moving 100% to ccbill? how will it work for affiliates, to ensure that the surfer gets to the page with the correct payment option so that affiliates get paid?

Already approved by ccbill. I suppose they don't work on weekends, so starting website programming on monday and hoping to do it in a week or so.

About ccbill, I am not moving 100% to ccbill, I will maintain both ccbill and allopass. I need to program it, so I don't know how complicated will it be. At first I will simply offer users to pay the method they wish. Later on I can make more complex things. I am open to suggestions.

Now will an affiliate get paid regardless of which payment method the surfer chooses? Or will you just use the CCBill ?

May I suggest having your ccbill link to a special tour (say on a subdomain) which only offers ccbill as the biller, and then keep the main tour only offering allopass as the biller. The other option would be to install a 3rd party affiliate stats system like NATS or MPA.

I think the best will be to keep track of which payment method an affiliate is using, and show visitors the payment method of their affiliate referral.

That way, if you choose ccbill and you send me a visitor, I will show the visitor the ccbill payment option and hide the allopass payment option. If some other affiliate chooses allopass, then I will show visitors the allopass payment option and hide the ccbill option.

I will follow this direction for programming the website. It shouldn't be too complex to program.

Hey, I told you, you don't need approval for joining the affiliation program, only for getting the money you earn. So, you can start promoting the program and the money will go to you account. If documents take longer to review you're still earning your commissions.

I finally heard back from allopay today, they REJECTED my application. Specifically, they rejected my documentation which was copies of my passport, my bank account statement and my utility bill.

This is why I didn't put links up / start promoting your site yet, any sales would be permanently frozen at allopay. I will wait till you get ccbill installed and join under them!

Wow!! This quite simply makes allopass ineffective as an affiliation tool. I will start looking for another SMS plaftorm. Do you know about Fortumo? Are they good and established?

I am in the process of setting up CCBill and sending all documents. For integrating CCBill into my CMS I have found a module that requires updating my CMS to a higher version. So my steps are, first, updating my CMS and testing it all works fine. Second, install ccbill and other affiliation associated modules for affiliate tracking. And third, come back here and tell you all to sign up.

It will take more than the week I expected at the beginning.

It is taking me more than expected, but I am almost 90% done. Let me tell you how will the affiliation program work after I finish.

We will be able to sell memberships and pay per view. We will also run an affiliation program from my own website which will integrate with CCBill and Fortumo payment plaftorms to start with, and maybe with some other payment gateways later.

When a user will come to my website, they will be offered a recurring membership as an option, but they will also be offered a pay per view option to watch individual contents. The membership will be payed via CCbill and the pay per view will be offered via CCBill and Fortumo.

Regarding the affiliation program, affiliates will earn commission from all kinds of payments, be it recurring membership or pay per view. The payouts will be sent via paypal, an option I consider rather afficient and fast. Affiliates will add their paypal account in their affiliate account so payouts can be sent easily. I am not running the affiliation program in CCBill because then affiliates would loose the fortumo payments for pay per view access. The affiliate program will also offer statistics. I hope they are enough for you.

So, now my website will run by itself the affiliation program, and there will be no need to join any other platform. I must talk to my lawyer to know if there are any requirements that I need to ask to become an affiliate, because now we will be sending money to people, while this was done by allopass in the past and we didn't have to worry about this.

we are almost finishing the job. The only thing left is the activation of payment gateways. Let's see how fast do CCbill and Fortumo respond. Then everything will be running.

I have finished the first step upgrading my site. I have integrated a new affiliation system and I have also integarted ccbill payment plaftorm.

Right now I would like to start testing how the affiliation system works. If someone is interested in joining our affiliation program and help us test its functionalities please PM me and I will give instructions and help you through the process. When I have tested it is all working adequately I will publish the join process here for everyone interested.

Having finished the setup of the site I'l tell you how have I configured the affiliation program.

To start with, I h've been told here that the indutry standard is 50% but my program has always offer a base of 30%. What I will do is keep the 30% standard payout but I will increase it by request up to 50% for those who ask me to. What we usually did was set it up to 30% for testing the affiliate and if the affiliate was good and sent quality traffic then we increased to 50%.

Another thing I would like to know is how many affiliate levels would you want, one or two levels. I can't pay more than 50% so if I set up 2 levels I would set 40% for first level 10% for second level. I don't know what are your preferences, one level at 50% or two levels at 40% 10%. It can also be customized per user, so if someone has special requirements it can be done. But I am interested in the general case, what do you think is better?

I am setting up several payment methods: memberships, and pay per view which can be payed via credit card or mobile, and I will add as many methods as I can. The program is paying commisions for all payments. And the program will pay commisions forever, so if you send someone and he pays one year later, you will still earn the money. I have also set up the cookie lifetime to 1 year because I can't set it longer, the system doesn't allow me to.

I must yet design banners for the english site, but for the spanish site there are already banners available for affiliates. And the system supports the publication or affiliate news so you can use them for content in your sites.

About the payments, we have decided to remove any hold. Commissions will be immediately available. There will be a minimum for asking your money, we are thinking about 100 as the minimum to ask your commissions to be sent.

We are trying to implement several methods for paying the affiliates: paypal transfer, we are also working on cheque and bank transfer, and we must investigate about payoneer.

After some weeks of work, 90% of the functionalities is complete.

The payment gateways, memberships and pay per view contents are all set up and running smoothly. So, whenever some user comes, all the payment options will be there for them to waste their money.

The 10% left is related to the affiliation program. There is one thing left, some automated affiliate news. Apart from this, everything is running smoothly.

Right now affiliate commisions can be requested via paypal and check, with a minimum of 100 and no hold period. I expect soon to offer also bank transfer.

The missing part of the system is what I call affiliate news. Something automated to send affiliates an email whenever a new content is published with links pointing to promo materials. While it is not automated, I will have to do it manually. But I expect soon to have it available.

I am now working on developing some banners for the english site, the spanish site has alredy the banners.

If someone wants to give it a try, I think we are prepared.

Upon request of an affiliate we are studying two or three options to send notifications of new content to affiliates. The three options we are studying differ a bit.

In one option the affiliate will have the option to subscribe to some or all the notifications. That way if an affiliate doesn't want to receive mails with notifications of new content he will be able to see the notification in his user account area.

In another option an email will be sent to all affiliates without distinction of kind of content, although the affiliate can opt-out from receiving any mail. The notifications will always be stored in the website so affiliates who opt-out can go to the site and watch the notifications.

In the third option only a mail will be sent.

I would like to know which of the options would you prefer as a notification system for new contents.

We have finally implemented a notifications system. Affiliates can subscribe to content news. They can choose to receive news by email or receive an internal web message to be seen within their user account. Everytime a new content is published in our websites, a notification will be generated pointing to the new content and to the promo materials.

For the old contents this notifications system will not work, so I will send by email the data to those affiliates who ask me for this information.

We are now working on finding new affiliates and as soon as we have a nice number of them, we will restart publishing new contents on the website.

Hey, why do you say this? It's only a 2 step process. You register as a user in the website, which is done in seconds. And then inside your user account you just mark yourself as an affiliate. That's all. No more steps.

We are finishing all the main tasks we have been asked by affiliates.

We have finished setting up the notifications system by which we will be sending emails whenever the website is updated with new content, including links to promo contents.

We have been asking our bank for payment options, and that's the result:

-For webmasters in the European Community the preferred payment method will be bank transfer in euros. There will be no minimum and there will be no commission, that is, you will earn your full commissions. I must yet ask our advisor if we must pay VAT here or if we can send the money and every affiliate can pay their VAT in their countries. But about this it's not our decission, we must apply the laws.

-For webmasters outside the European Community, the commissions imposed by our bank for transfers are unacceptable from our point of view, 0.55% with a minimum of 31?. For this reason, our preferred payment method for webmasters outside the European Community will be paypal for now. We are studying other methods, like paxum that you named in this same thread.

Next 30th july I am going on hollidays and I will be back in September. In the meanwhile if someone wants to join as affiliate to our site, it's quite simple: just register in the site as a regular user, and then within your user account activate yourself as an affiliate. That's all. When I come back in September I will contact you for any document we need from your part.

Ok, hollidays have finished and august has passed. There was an african heat wave this summer in Spain with temperatures close to 39 degree celsius for more than two weeks. It was a madness.
