    GOD FORBID!

We have our AIDS awareness and prevention meeting at French Market every week in the GAYzebo!

    YEUCH!

You can't hear a fucking thing up there and the food is worse than horrible!

Cam and I stopped eating there about 8 years ago. We both got food poisoning. and, it was the second time in two years!

I went back because my political group decided it was the best place to meet.

I ordered a chicken sandwhich. It came on a moldy bun. This was one week ago!

I only order iced tea now!

How about JR's in Beverly Hills? tons of 2 hour free parking everywhere - the biggest salad bar in the world and the best BBQ ribs, etc for all the meat eaters - great prices and - best yet, we can have our own room or our own area without onlookers...

hope you can make it - it won't be the same without you and cam

yeah, I know - I suggested El Coyote, I dunno, like a few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting to get my #3 guac combo and bottomless iced tea!

But still, JR's has the most increadible salad bar in the universe - check it out sometime - Jr's is at 252 N Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills - very San Francisco atmosphere - real brick, lots of wood beams, sports oriented, warehouse style with a loft, big thick wood booths, and private rooms upstairs - and good old fashioned Beverly Hills style hometown hospitality, tons of 2 hour free parking (indoor to protect those glamorous auto finishes) - two lots on that block of Beverly and a hop, skip and a jump from Tiffany, where you can get those platimum wedding bands you need (?) about $750 ea.

and Cartier across the street for the alternative -

I'm still trying to find Cam a good platimum heavy duty, slave chain for his birthday for under &#*$&

bye, we're off and I'm not paying attention to the road!

Wow. This is odd. I eat at the French Market quite regularly, and have never had a problem with the food there. I love their Sunday brunch menu (their Eggs Mondaire is my favorite). It's so funny how you hear of these horror stories about places you frequent. I have a friend who swore he would never visit Irv's in WeHo again, but I've had nothing but good times there. Oh well.

Has anyone been to Roman's on Sunset yet? I just ate their last night for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is quick but tasty, moderately priced, and relatively healthy. I would definitely recommend it as a lunch spot. Not sure about a big party, though.

I eat at the French Market and never have a problem either. However my friend Gregory always has issues. It's strange. Every time (and my leather club goes there after our meetings every month) he is always the last one to get served, usually some time after the rest of us are well into our food. I told him he must have done something really bad in a past life and this is Karma biting him in the ass. LOL!

    Okay. Let's get this rolling.

i"m going to go talk to French Market.... 23rd. See what they can accomodate.

How many should I tell them to plan on ? 10.... 15.....20?

1:30 PM to put us there after any lunch rush they have so we can get
    some decent service?

give me a number.. i'll go talk to them. let's put this thing on the calendar.

    French Quarter Market Place
    7985 Santa Monica Boulevard
Los Angeles, California 90046-5112 ph: 323.654.0898

Stepping onto Bourbon Street in New Orleans and walking into the first restaurant you can find is the French Quarters mission in LA. The interior can be stated in a single word "lattice". Ivy covered lattice walls stand over lattice chairs that match the lattice pattern in the emerald green and patio white surroundings. The menu is made up of French bistro classics and American standards and a very eggy breakfast is served daily. I for one say mission accomplished! Offering patrons American cooking emphasizing pasta and steaks, this is a place. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and dress casual.
