We've been with ThePlanet for couple years now, and we have a tiny ISP in San Francisco (they have a 10x15 cage in a gigantic data center in SF) that is a secondary for us that we've actually been with even longer than Planet.

Both have been excellent, both have different strengths. Planet, unfortunately, is going downhill in their support, and this seems to be coincident with their being purchased (along with EV1) by some gigantic company. We also have a high-bandwidth box (30Mbps video gallery server) with another provider that, so far, seems to be reliable and responsive.

That's a far cry from 4-5 years ago (before I was in adult) when I'd been through about 6 isps in 4 years due to shitty service, unreliable bandwidth, unannounced outages, etc.
