I went to Florida last year and there just wasn't the gay attendance there to warrant going again this year.

I also heard someone saying that while Phoenix was great, they didn't really see anyone there that they didn't already know. The shows don't bring out the independent webmasters. It's too cost-prohibitive for me. I could have spent $2000 on Phoenix or I could buy $2K in content, or pay down some debt. And I think a lot of independants are in this boat. I'm well-known enough in the biz that if I need something I can e-mail, call, or ICQ the program.

I don't know how to resolve this issue, perhaps some contests or scholarships to help subsidize the trips for smaller webmasters would get more people out to these shows.
