True, and putting it into the head of people who "NEED" to show other people end up putting it in front of the people who find them self in the music.

What was "Running Up That Hill (Deal with God)" about? The "Hounds" album is one I can listen to for years and never figure out EVERYTHING it's trying to say.

I have no idea. I used to think it was based on a movie or a book because it always sounded like there's a plot or idea there that you don't really know the whole story of. I really love the second side of that album, it's a mini concept album called "The Ninth Wave". It's all about a woman lost at sea, floating in a life preserver and hoping someone will see the little little light in the dark of night and rescue her. Throughout the night she falls in and out of sleep and has all these dreams, but they all have some relation to water. It's really amazing.

The video for the song Hounds of Love is brilliant. Excellent example of Stockholm Syndrome.

I thought the part with them doing the archery stances was cool. But the part with the crowd with the photocopies over their faces was freaky.

Yeah, that was the Running Up That Hill video. Strangely enough, I didn't like it because of the gray costumes. It was too drab for me. LOL!

I would love to do a mash-up of Running Up That Hill and What Else Is There. They seem like they would mix together really well.

She's not really running from anyone. The guy is a fugitive and he handcuffs himself to her, taking her hostage. The whole time he is running from the cops and dragging her along with him. Then, when they hit the party it's a dead end. They see the cops and it looks like there's no escape, but (as is often the case) she has fallen in love with her captor and secretly puts the handcuffs on him to save him from the police.

Okay just watched it again on YouTube with a new understanding and a greater appreciation! Surprised that more rockers don't seem aware of kate Bush, but rappers as diverse as Outkast and Tupac Shakur credit her

I was talking to a friend's son who has a band, and NONE of his friends or bandmates had heard of her!

Tori Amos came along and sort of stole her fire. Well, that and the fact that after The Sensual World she only made two albums in 15 years.
