Yeah, you just die of heat stroke if you go outside for more than 30 seconds in the summer

My vote (for close-to-perfect weather) is for San Diego, with San Francisco east bay a close second. I'm told Auckland, NZ is equally wonderful.

    Mark,
I dont know how bad it is in Denver, but up here in Loveland we got about 33 inches of snow. I cna barely see the top of my 3 foot picket fence. In some areas, we have snow drifts as high as 8 feet. My truck is under a massive snow drift...and one of my wiener dogs went missing about an hour ago. (Ok...just kidding about the dog.) I had to dig a path off the porch to the back yard so he can pee. Unreal.

At least it's begining to look a lot like Christmas. - Michael

    Wow

That's a lot of snow!!! I was born in the Blizzard of 78 but of course I don't remember it . I lived in Ohio for over 10 years. I have seen some bad snow but that's really bad!

As I am getting ready to go out for dinner, looking through the closet and thinking "Should I wear a sweater? It is going to be down to 55F tonight" and then I see the TV news stories from Denver, think about my years in Grand Forks, and giggle uncontrollably.

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. he he he :sunny:

Our airport finally opened today after being closed for 48 hours. People have been stuck at our airport for a couple days and some people may not get to their desination for a couple more days yet. I could not imagine that.

Here are some pictures my boyfriend took when he was outside with one of the dogs.

I don't mean to brag however this where I'm working from at the moment - it's as close to civilized paradise as it gets.

Rub it in sure, hehe. Our dogs love the snow and could play in it all day long.

What a contrast - there is a forecast for a "light dusting" of snow in the Snowy Mountains/Austalian Alps on Xmas Day which it's hoped will help to put out the raging bush fires and fire storms devasting the southern parts of the country at the moment. It's TOTALLY unseasonal and quite freakish.

Sean flew out at 7a.m. that morning. Good drive for the Land Rover though I almost have a path out of the driveway now - I guess working from home does have a few perks from time to time. I am supposed to pick him up next Tuesday so I guess that is my deadline.

2 1/2 feet of snow was OK for the Land Rover, but the 4 - 5 ft snow drift that stretched across the driveway was another story.

I heard over the new this morning that a couple of people died from heart attacks while shovelling the snow. A few pictures of the snow-laden house just in case..
