I was just told that you had a communication with Warner Bros over your Dicks Of Hazzard movie, was just wondering whats happening with that atm?
I would presume as your movie is a parody theres pretty much nothing they can do about it?

Lee

maybe technically no, hut remember you don't have to win the battle to win the war, I am sure rocky would not want to take on warner brothers in a lawsuit, imagine the cost to defend yourself even if you won.

I bet Warner Bros does not want this story to get out, the publicity would be bad for them as well, and Rocky might sell a HUGE number of movies too if its played right. I can see them just trying to limit the exposure of his film, advertisements stuff like that.
I dont know, I might think about fighting them in public if I could win our tie

What is the big deal? Hollywood knows that as soon as a movie is released, a porn title will be released that mocks the title. It's no biggie as far as I'm concerned.
Michael
Hollywood expects porn parodies to be made of their movies but maybe they aren't as tolerant of gay porn parodies. If the title was 'The Chicks of Hazzard' would they be pursuing legal action? It would be interesting to see what action Warner Bros. has taken against straight porn vs. gay porn. There may be a legal defense in there somewhere.
Michael i agree that it is expected, at least somewhat, im more interested in finding out if this is something Rocky is going to fight, especially given all the other grief he has had over this specific movie title of his, would be a shame for him to be shut down by Warner Bros after successfully promoting his title despite that other studio copying his work.

If I can quote Rocky ...
Source: http://forums.gaywidewebmasters.com/...ight=LucasfilmI only know of one movie that was ever sued for being a parody, and that was "Star Whores", sued by Lucasfilm.
LucasFilm lost.
Parody titles and plots have become the norm in the industry and many movie studios, directors and even stars consider it a badge of honor to have their movie parodied in porn. It is often the topic of conversation on late night talk shows, most notably Davie Letterman, Jay Leno, and quote frequently, Conen O'Brien.
In short: I'm not worried.
Rocky :-)
