just because someone needs media attention to be able to continue their career does NOT mean that when they take their baby to the doctor or get a flat tire when they're late for an engagement that they deserve to find themselves unable to do this because of the press.

and britney has been a celeb since she was a child - it's not really a choice she made. just like with any of us, what we did as a child is what is normal to us. she grew up as an entertainer/celeb and doesn't seem to have picked up many life skills along the way to help her cope. those require maturity and mentoring - she may be looking for a mentor but even choosing a mento requires knowledge and maturity that not many people have.

and btw, you must not know many "normal" housewives or their husbands. they seem to be happy to know that their neighbor has a shocking problem as much as they are when a celeb has a shocking problem. they're titillated, they gossip and blow it out of proportion and make life fairly unliveable for the neighbor or co-worker, all so they can share their excitement.

Celebrities NEED the media to remain interested in them or their popularity fades... especially when they have no real talent. And because they need and crave the public's interest, they do supid shit to keep the focus on them. And then they have the nerve to bitch and moan when their 'privacy' is threatened. C'MON!
