VISA remains the power that, regradless of processor or country, a webmaster has to deal with.
Well, since you apparently feel some need to be right, I'll let you have your belief, "regradless" of whether it's correct or not.

    Both

Is is always good to use both....

CCbill has always been the leader but what if..one day..the are no longer wanting to work with gay sites?

Why not try to do both?

They have good points and better to plan ahead.

We have a client that is making us develop a VOD site for Paycom.
And....I think it will work out great in the long run.

After all, CCbill already make $1,000,000,000,000,000 a year on gay sites but only gives us about .0000000001% attention. Paycom makes about .0000000001% and is giving us a lot more attention.

I have never been a PayCom fan but now I am looking to move some clients to them.

    Updates to follow....

I suspect they did just barely enough to comply with Mastercard regs and haven't touched it since. I would also suspect it gets close to zero traffic.

I would have to agree. We have been with CCBill for over a year now, and when you search for our specific site name in the their 'directory' it wont come up, let alone if you search by content. I too suspect they only created the directory to comply with some stupid regulation somewhere...and probably only used the sites they had at that time...and are no longer updating it.
TropixxxCash.com is a CCBill affiliate program for the male spanking and punishment site TropixxxVIP.com.

Which, if you think about it is actually a shame.

That directory, if maintained properly could be a REALLY good sales tool for both program owners and affiliates.

CCbill as my primary processor, because they are the biggest and most reliable. many of my affiliates will only work programs that use ccbill. However i am going to be using Epoch as a secondary processor, as well as offer Pure Vanilla as well.

btw, folks - i've said it before but here it is again:

epoch is very unlikely to be the smaller of the 2 processors. they have processed and continue to process for such small unknown programs as topbucks and ars. it's true - they never focused on smaller programs till recently, although they could always be used by them. but larger prorams have used epoch for years...

The options to update your listing on their shopping pages, and determine whether or nor your site is listed at all, is within the CCBill webmasters admin. You can at any time go in and turn on the function to have your site listed.

I think it's somewhere in the "sites admin", I ran across it back when they first implemented the functions.

btw, I agree with Patti and I think it's amusing how a lot of people just assume that Epoch is smaller because they are less visibile.

    Very true.

I guess time will tell. Seemingly Procom/Epoch suddenly has begun marketing to the smaller paysite owners, especially to the gay community.

Like Microsoft selling a new OS, I will wait a year or two until all bugs are removed... and in my case, recalling starting with IBILL in 1998, and as the company struggled at it's end, the bottom line numbers being askewed, there was a sudden strong sales push. I am not writing or intending by my words that Paycom/Epoch has financial problems. I though question their recent aggressive nature, via members that rarely write, in this forum.

Once again, rest assured, I am not writing, nor claiming that Procom/Epoch has business income problems like IBILL did, thus their reason for starting a strong marketing program to the gay industry.

Some made comments that not enough gay people are employed at CCBILL.

PLEASE. I just want either a phonecall or an email request to have a solution. And for years, within hours, most times minutes... done... finished. Paycom hiring a few gay employees will not make me suddenly loyal.

As for the MASTERCARD discussion. YES.. amazing how all these new regulations were imposed and how important they were at the time. I consider it a TAX of the adult industry.

I totally don't get what you're trying to say here. Epoch/Paycom has been around for *LONGER* than ccbill. They are extremely well established, they have excellent support, they are stable, they have at least as many, if not more, customers than CCBill. They have been at every adult industry event I've ever been to, with a booth on the convention floor and reps everywhere. They have been open and inviting to webmasters with programs of all sizes. They are the people that started EPassporte (and eventually spun it off into a separate company.)

I don't know what you're implying about waiting "until the bugs are removed" since Epoch has been in the business *longer* than ccbill.

As for support, I have found that both Epoch and CCBill have excellent support, even at 3AM on Saturday night, to get things done quickly and efficiently, though I have a lot more experience in working with CCBill than with Epoch.

All that's happened is Epoch has gotten more aggressive about going after gay webmasters, and taken strong steps to make their program more appealing by offering better stats options and cascading billing.

To even imply for a moment that somehow this is a desperate move of a company with financial problems is irresponsible.

i think what's happening is that epoch is going after smaller webmasters, not gay webmasters. i've been encouraging them to do this for years and i think it's a good thing.

I just thought I would send an update to this, since I pretty much started a huge thread (not intending to) and left it after that. I have decided that I will go with Epoch, there was nothing in particular that made my decision for me, but several small factors, which I guess is what it came down to. I liked the fact that Epoch gives out MPA3, and the guy that I talked to there was very friendly and helpful.

That being said, I may add ccbill on as a secondary processor at a later date, but for now Epoch it will be

Glad the poll did not sway you to much, and you looked into it for yourself. Epoch really is at the top of their game right now.
