Thats exactly what i do too, apart from the 'let it fade' aspect.

At any given time i have about 5 or 6 'projects' on the go, this lets me switch between them when i get bored with doing one of them for long periods of time.

Right now i have 3 new paysites that i have been working on for the past 2 months on and off, along with some new product thats going to be launching shortly, in addition to resizing content, encoding movies etc.

I actually find im much more productive being able to jump from one thing to the next as and when i get bored but, you need to have good organizational skills to pull this type of work pattern off i think.

Ive never been able to concentrate on doing 1 thing longer than about 7-10 days so being able to skip from project to project during a month means that they all get finished and that i never really get 'bored' from doing the same thing over and over again

It also helps to have something to do that isnt 'work' related, im finding myself more and more sitting out in the garden lately, pottering around with stuff just to break up the work day, plus it gets me some excerise because sitting at the desk 12 hours or more a day and not getting up and walking around isnt very healthy

Lee
