I wasn't actually speaking of the comments you were making when I was talking about trashing people, more the posting of the whois thing with the ad at the bottom that turned out to be a page with about 100 people on it, two of which happened to be Simon and Reece.

I agree that, particularly in an industry where we do much of our interactions online without meeting anyone in person, and where a lot of what we know about someone is mostly limited to what they tell us (which may or may not be true, and may or may not leave out material facts) then it's very reasonable to do research and find out what there is to find out.

All I ask is before we associate someone with someone else who has a terrible reputation, that we make sure the connection is real.

Our previous DVD distributor also distributed for a studio that had a pretty shady reputation. We never met the guy who owned the other studio, never talked to him or did business with him, and knew only what we'd heard from various sources. I just wouldn't want someone trashing us because we happened to be distributed by the same distributor as a company many considered shady, and I felt like what IdolKnights said (which he did acknowlege wasn't much of a connection) was akin to that, and I wouldn't want anyone doing that to me.

And the people who take the time and effort to do the research and post their findings online are the bad guys? You jump to the defense of someone you haven't researched just because they send you traffic. Thanks

I don't know Simon well other than the few IM convos we've had, but I don't have any reason to believe he's unethical or dishonest .....

To be fair, markjacob aka Simon is one of our affiliates and I think we were one of the first sites he promoted....

I don't see much that indicates any problems with Simon Meech....

I know little about Simon Meech

All I do know is:

1) he has a site that is suspended called addictivedollars.

2) I know he's been in the industry over 4 years, and people think he's new and part time.

3) He has had previous programs, sites, and businesses in adult that are now defunct.

4) I know he's working with Sam Eborall, from his own admission.

5) I know he's submitted 60 sites to linklists, then changed them after submission to now redirect to advertising pages for affiliates.

That's about it. I've asked a lot of questions that haven't been answered. So what. Asking questions and posting facts is good business.

The drama is coming from him being upset and elusive, not from questions being asked and facts being posted :thumbsup:

It's upsetting you defend a scammer on here who stole some of our content and put it in his members area. That raised a red flag with me and I wanted to know more about who you are.

It's not an attack when people in the industry want to know who you are and what your past history is.

Squirt, as you seem it needed to point out that marcjacob is "working" with me in almost all your posts in this thread, i will correct you.

Marcjacob, along with hundreds of other webmasters is an affiliate for britishbucks.com. He is not working "with me", "for me", or anything else near to that, as you are trying to twist peoples words and make them think that marcjacob and myself are heavily involved, which is not the case.

So, for the record:

Marcjacob is one of many affiliates at britishbucks.com, a website owned by myself. I am certain he is an affiliate with many many more sponsors, such as intensecash.com and gaybucks.com, as already mentioned here.
