Paris apparently gets competent PR help

Paris Hilton just released a statement in which she announced that she's instructed her attorneys not to further appeal her jail sentence.

Basically, she's saying that she's realized that she needs to do her time.

I think, more likely, Mommy and Daddy sensed a problem and hired a crisis PR specialist who convinced her that she should just buck up and take it. That and the fact that she's supposedly back on her meds.

Has anyone but me thought the release than the go back to jail again could have been a setup? Think about it, how much more $ can she make with a great book deal? She sets it up like this:

I go into jail, have this medical problem that can't be released to the press (HIPA laws). The sheriff, the DA and the judge are all elected officials and need good campaign contributions. All get paid a hefty fee for their parts, under the table. The media and all the civil rights folks go crazy. I am in the news for days. The judge and DA look good as being tough on the low life drunk drivers.:turddance: Now the sheriff looks good since he doesn't want this kind you woman to stay in jail very long, so he looks good.

When I go to court, I show I might just go over the edge. :crybaby: I later release a statement I don't want to prolong this any further and instruct my lawyer to drop the appeal. While I'm in the big house I write my book on how I was screwed by the judical system and how I spent my days in my padded cell. I sign a contract for millions for the book deal, I also sign a deal for the movie rights.

Now I could be wrong but what a way to make $

With Paris it isn't about money, but instead fame. The longer this ordeal drags out, the more drama around it, the more famous she becomes. None of this is hurting Paris' image at all either. She will still have her fans.

Have you seen her fans? They deserve her. What gets me is that so many are gay and she's made some unsavory anti-gay statements on more than a few occassions.
