that's simply not so. many programs with generic warning pages or no warning pages have sites that convert like crazy.

Warning page is a must have for convertions.
If you want to improve your convertions your first step is to create a warning page. Trust me on that.

not unless you use .htaccess or another system to keep your content pages off the search engines. having a warning page accomplishes nothing if you have 15 pages with hardcore porn on them available to get to from search engines.

A good warning system helps prevent users from unknowingly viewing material they deem offensive.

And lets face it, the biggest threat to any adult site are surfers who saw something they didn't want to see. This is what gets the ball rolling.
