The country in question has again criminalized sex work in 2001 with strong support of some women's rights groups. Of course this is mainly aimed on prostitution and sex trafficking, but it also covers modeling work and other activities in the sex industry like strip dancing.
As very often an actually well intended law is used like cutting grass with chain saw.
In Albania and Romania, sex work is a criminal offense. In Ukraine, sex work is an administrative offense. In Lithuania sex workers are penalized and in Latvia sex work is illegal, but not penalized.
And as with many countries these days, as a citizen the laws of your country apply worldwide. Even if it isn't a crime in the country you were involved in something that is considered a crime in your home country, you can (or will) be prosecuted at home.
