Daw, you haven't hurt my feelings. I just wanted to make a point about what happens when you make general comments about one area. It just gets me all riled up. ^_^ It is true that the rural areas of this section of the country are down right idiots. Even I have moments where I'd like to let them talk a long walk off a short pier. I'm sorry you had to experience those morons. As you said, best to stick to the city. Some people were raised with manners.

But no, don't talk it like my feelings were hurt. I suppose I've been badgered and made fun of so much by people from outside the South I get rather defensive about it. I get everything from people talking slower because they think I'm stupid to people saying "talk Southern for me." Or they attempt to put on a Southern accent which sounds completely sterotypical. Just pisses me off. The last person to ask me to "speak Southern" got told "Fuck You" in a nice Southern Bell Drawl. :joker:
