Methinks Mark is a great person but from what you guys have told me he has absolutely no control over his business.

Fuck it. I need to get some stuff of my chest as their are facts that people just don't know or understand.

1. MANY of us, Chip included, chose to post on GMS when it was a ghost town. At that time, JP may have made 10 posts a week. He was much too busy pimping his shit on gfy. We chose it and this board as places we could meet people and form friendships and do business. For some of us it was long before Mark took over the board.

2. GMS has always given freedom in the posts you can make. Some say too much. Some, including myself may have pressed it to the limit. But, we were allowed to by the moderators. That was the "personality" of the board.

3. Censorship has always been tolerated at GMS, however. When Sam mentioned that some big companies were buying content from content producers that solicited minors, he got that post and all other posts in the thread removed because he was "scared" and ask Mark to remove them. This was HARDLY the first time thread got censored after a webmaster decided that what he posted he didn't like in the open. So, censorship is NOTHING new at all. Just be on the good with one of the mods and anything that you say or is said against you can be removed. IF and only IF you are one of the mods "favorites."

4. Why was Chip banned? Simple. He is a mod at GWW and JP/Mark feel his goal was to not make GMS succeed. PLAN AND SIMPLE. That's from the owner's mouth.

5. Why do threads disappear? For two reasons -
1. You say something an later regret it and if you are "in" with the mods, they will "take care of you."
2. You say something that the mods don't like. Remember JP's blubbercunt is "sacred shit".

6. Threads on censorship getting censored? What do you expect! It's perfectly ok for two people to tear each other apart in 5 pages of bs about "can you use a first name or not" with all types of personal attacks. But, try and make a comment in a thread that the owner starts and push for business over bullshit and not only do you get banned, but the thread gets censored. The title of the thread was "Should GMS be censorsed!".

Let me bang my head one more time to try and understand.

That is really pathetic.

First, it's pathetic that Mark didn't have the courage to respond to any of my messages and tell me this himself rather than gossip to others.

Second, all of my messages bitching about the lack of moderation was so GMS WOULD continue to grow and become a strong community. If I wanted to see it go into the crapper, I would have shut up and let JP's policies alienate everyone. Just because I'm a moderator for Lee doesn't mean I don't want other healthy webmaster communities, and I think that anyone who knows me understands that. Lee has never said a word to me about my postings at GMS, nor has he ever asked me to influence anyone, post anything, or not post anything, either at GWW or GMS.

Third, if there's a policy that mods at other boards should not post at GMS, or have to be more careful about what they say, or don't get any warnings before being banned, then DEVELOP A WRITTEN POLICY THAT STATES THAT. Arbitrary policies and enforcement help no one, not even the arbitrary policy setter. If there are rules, then people can read and understand them and stay within the rules. This isn't rocket science.
