Copyrighted music.... I've seen some studios put a stereo system in their video, and you physically see them turn the music up on it all on film.

We had a DJ spin some music in ours. He didn't understand that we were using it in DVDs. After all was done and what not, the vids were released. Then we realized the music wasn't spun, etc. And we ended up paying out the ass for a license to use the music. It was cheaper than a copyright law suit over the music, but it's something we'll never do again.

I think before a studio begins, they should consult with a lawyer like Chad Belville regarding all the laws, ask questions, etc. Make sure they know what the requirements are, and also understand the consequences of what could happen if caught with "bad" records.
