Would it be a fair assessment that the gay side of the industry hasn't been as proactive in cleaning things up?

I would say that IMHO for the most part the gay side of the biz has been FAR more responsible and responsive than other areas.

    True,

yet still processors won't take "boy" sites but "girl" sites - but as I understand that they are just passing on what the creditcard companies say

cleaning things up? we're not the police - the police are. other than reporting suspicious sites to processors and asacp, there's not much we can do.

the ones who work as hard as they can to make their 18 to 21 year old models SOUND as young as possible aren't going to be the mainstream part of gay porn, and to be fair, they don't have to answer to us. they don't have to listen to any of us if we say "hey, doing this makes us all look bad."

on the other hand, some respected programs promote iffy sites, but is it our business to pressure them to stop? i'd hate someone to tell me what to promote...

I'm mostly speaking in terms of "teen porn concepts" to borrow Google's term for it. On the straight side it seems like such sites do not get good exposure through affiliate promotion unless the producer is well known and trusted. Whereas here on the gay side we see big sites throwing traffic at just about anything with an affiliate program (because if they've got an affiliate program, they must be legit!) even when little is known about the production.

Straight TGP traffic trades also seem to be more aggressively policed. I do not even like to surf gay TGP's.

Then there is the actual CP. When is the last time a straight producer was busted for it? In that timespan how many gay producers have been nailed? We're at the point now where when you hear there has been an underage model, you just know it's going to be related to a gay studio.

There's also the Brent Corrigan issue where only after the news was official, people were saying on the boards how they had been aware through rumors and whatnot that he was underage. How it was no secret. Was it responsible for these people to keep their mouth shut while affiliates and stores kept pushing the titles?

The way these iffy sites are abusing the "twink" and "boy" keywords, don't be surprised if they eventually become the "ita" keywords of gay.

We've got so many webmasters talking about abandoning these terms, and nobody talking about what can be done to save them.

When added to our directory, we renamed your site "Asian Bareback".
