How Far Back Is 'Retro' Content These Days?

Do you think its possible to bill content shot in the early 90's as 'retro' or 'classic' content now?

The reason i ask is that im seeing a lot of movies shot in the nineties billed as a 'classic movie' on some cable networks.

Your thoughts, can nineties content now be considered as 'classic' or do you think we should still be using content from the 60's 70's and 80's only?

For cars and collectibles, 25 years is usually the cut off for "antique", so that would be 1983.

For gay porn, other than campy old haircuts and clothing, most of the customers looking for vintage are really looking for pre-condom.

It depends on the actual content. It could be retro if it was shot in the mid 90s or even late 90s, or it could be just normal. You need to see the scene to decide.

I would say anything shot pre 1995 is retro and pre 75 is classic and pre 55 vintage. But again it depends on the scene. It's what the surfer thinks of the scene that's important.
