If you research the mother more, you'll discover that she was murdered.
Apparently according to the Morning Call Newspaper, the mother was with the child in their home in Easton. The father was out and about where ever. Came home, pulled the gun out of his coat pocket, shot the mother in the head in front of the child. She died in moments.

And yes, that does sound like Easton. (Our offices are not even 5 miles from downtown Easton).

My friends mother lives across the street from them. She said the family is very psychotic. And they have police at their house all the time.

Given, Easton is not a very big town and has became a very bad area to reside. It's a city that you do not want to drive in or through once it gets dark. Gangs have moved in, and from what I hear... The welfare department isn't helping things any.
But when I read the first paragraph of this, I'm thinking "nothing new." It's just not a good area anymore.
