I'm the affiliate. I'm not ungrateful and I didn't say you should know better, 'cause I didn't identify you in the other post. It was just a frustrating experience and I vented (complete with <rant></rant> tags). And I posted the original message on the other board before you explained the situation to me, not after. After you explained it I posted another message saying I had discussed it with you further and it was sorta understandable.

But look... it's about the management of expectations... You asked me what I needed, I spelled it out and mentioned that I needed things packaged by scene. I deal with a lot of other programs and 95+% of them give the content scene-by-scene. The ones that don't are usually smaller amateurish programs (which is not how I'd describe you). You asked a ton of questions and we went back and forth numerous times - a lot was said but you never mentioned that the content wasn't scene based until after you gave it to me...

I clearly didn't understand that retro content isn't scene based. I get it now, but how is someone supposed to understand that if they haven't dealt with retro stuff before? It's not like retro material is all that common.

And how is being a newbie a bad thing? We all start somewhere and if you look at my posts on that other board you'll see I know a hell of a lot about websites - it's just the porn industry that I'm getting a handle on. For god's sake, I've written myself a custom database to deal with sponsor images (which is up to about 40,000 images so far - not something many "newbies" have), and the real problem was that the way you gave me the images didn't mesh well with how I handle images in the database.

I checked in to see if you had forgotten about the request because it had been a couple days since you said you'd have it to me and you were actively posting here, so I knew you weren't off on vacation or something... You make my checking in sound like a bad thing. Again, it's about the management of expectations. If you had said "give me a week", I wouldn't have checked in until the week was up.

I've looked at the Condom Cash site and you provide one photoset for each site where the programs I do well with have multiple photosets for each site. And just because the retro stuff isn't scene based doesn't mean it can't be organized into themes or something. So when it comes down to it you're not making it all that easy for me to promote you. That surprises me and it was sorta the point of the post on the other board.

I can sell your stuff, I want to sell your stuff, but you make me jump through a lot of hoops to do it. That's really the bottom line here and the root of my frustration. I had a blowout with the owner of another site that was perfect for my niche but was converting horribly because I didn't have decent promo materials. He basically told me I didn't know shit and that his site was obviously too sophisticated for my viewers' tastes (or something like that). Well, he's since hired an affiliate manager who puts out good materials and the site is now one of my top converting sites.

Please remember all this started because I wanted to promote your sites. I'm not the enemy - far from it. But it has been a frustrating experience getting the materials and thinking about what I need to do to use them. I vented without identifying you. That's not a horrible thing.
