ABC links are the only real efficient way to for a good linking structure and way betetr than just AB linking. Who told you that they don't work anymore?

@ Rich: ABC linking means you link from your site A to someone's elses (or your own) site B and site B links to your site C. This way google won't realize that you're exchanging links if you have different class C IP's and do it clever.
