I agree with Luke.

I've discovered after talking to so many people at the shows, forums, in person, emails, etc etc etc that if you are not 100% certain of what you are wanting to promote, it will not sell for you.
Perhaps if you are a straight male, you may not mind the "gay stuff" but if it's not your cup of tea, don't go near it.
If you are a straight male and enjoy lesbian sex, go for it.

For example, take a look at Bec. She loves (or so it seems) all of the blogs and free sites in and outs. It may be profitable for her because that's her passion.

If you don't love it, don't do it.

For instance, my personal pleasure is barebacking. I have a blast promoting bareback content and I do well with it. I also love the "amateur homemade" style films that are out there, many distributed by AMVC. Thus, I promote those movies through AEBN. I have a blast writing about them.

I used to promote darned near every site under the sun. If I don't personally find the content appealing, I wouldn't go into it. Nor would I touch it. You can't just copy the text the sponsor program supplies for your blog. That will defeat you with SEO stuff. You could hire a storywriter like Conran (whom does fantastic work, we have him doing so much for us, but that's besides the point). But the reader can tell if it's a "made up" story or if it's hot and the writer enjoyed it. That's what will sell. They really do read descriptions and look at the pics. Keep the text short.

So really, to end this post... If people say it sells, don't go for it. If people say it doesn't sell and you choose to not work with the sponsor stuff, that's up to your decision. Go with what you enjoy, that will be your selling point.

We promote ABC site, it doesn't sell for us but may sell very well for you. You promote XYZ site, it does very well for us but may do horribly for you. It's really on you.
