I think it all depends on your production budget and your production quality.
I'm not speaking of your titles as I've never seen one, but yes, if you just have a Handi-cam video of two guys having sex on a hotel bed, your movie didnt' cost much to make and shouldn't sell for much at the store.
We just got back from a 10 day shoot in Australia with our five biggest stars shooting "Alumni Weekend 5: Australia" where we produced a beautifully shot movie with 6 scenes and using different locations and got all sorts of fun stuff along with it. We promoted it with video postcards to the podcast and blog updates and a live web-cast from the location and even G-rated clips on YouTube.
It's retailing for $59.95 and we're having trouble keeping up with the demand.
Sure, our weekly titles that feature one model in three scenes sell for $19.95 and the longer titles sell for $29-39.95 but I think that if you put enough effort into your movies, they should sell for the high price they're worth.
