Well, I don't have any of the inside details, but the more I hear, the more it sounds like a desperation situation - people making bad choices because they are trying to cover up a shortgage of money and an excess of debt.

Why else would they do it? Drugs maybe - that is, one tends to hire people with the same addictions that one has, in that "brotherhood of the pipe" thing.

But "drugs" is usually just code for short of money - that is, the core problem is much the same, except in this case the cash flow is being smoked or snorted.

Or maybe the fellow just likes shady people?

What's your theory for the real background story for it?
